Crow wings are essential and stipulated material for the TK Moore’s ‘Kingsmill’ pattern. The wings are often overlooked as just being black which is not the case, it has a lovely shine that radiates a more natural black and even brown tones. It is often referred to in old literature, Irish dressing in particuliar, for winging wets. It is also forgotten that it was the original material for the ‘Butcher’ wet fly.
