Kamasan B200 Deepwater Nymph hook
As the name implies this hook is designed for use as a very strong wired nymph hook, to get nymphs down quickly and handle really big fish. Also features fine barb for swift penetration. The 2 x long shank is designed for nymphs but the design enables producing lures/mini lures on them too. A Kamasan usage is a Steelhead hook – were the extra strong wire would be advantage, helping to get flies down quickly in the water column and cope with the extra demands. We use them for tying slim Damsel nymph designs, the heavy gauge wire enabling the fly not be weighted with lead or beads, simply using the hook itself to achieve a good sinking rate & depth. Size 12 also suits International Rules.
